Fort-Coulonge mayor denounces vandalism spree

The mayor of Fort-Coulonge, Christine Francoeur, is concerned about the vandalism that has been occurring in her municipality for about three weeks now. Vandals have committed several misdeeds and offenses, ranging from graffiti to moving benches at the Fort-Coulonge cenotaph.

Unfortunately, insurance does not cover damages of this type. According to Francoeur, the amount has already reached several thousand dollars.

The police have received complaints from the municipality, and an investigation is underway. It should be noted that, according to Francoeur, the vandals wore Halloween costumes to protect their identities. Francoeur mentioned the establishment of a neighborhood watch to resolve the situation.
