Fort-Coulonge Mayor delighted with the latest edition of Village en fête

Fort-Coulonge Mayor Christine Francoeur was pleased with the turnout to the Village en fête celebrations that took place in town on Saturday (June 17). Some thirty merchants and organizations were on hand for the occasion, and several hundred people turned out.

“It’s quite an event, let me tell you. People are here, the sun’s out a little bit, but it’s okay, it’s not too hot. It’s heartwarming to see everyone,” she said (translated). “We know that with all the problems we’ve had with the floods and everything. People came out just the same and celebrated. That’s what we want, we really want to celebrate you guys, that’s why we’re doing this.”
