Fort-Coulonge/Mansfield Country Festival kicks off tonight
As the trailers and campers continue to flood into a sprawling grid around the Fort-Coulonge arena, the eighth annual Fort-Coulonge/Mansfield Country Festival will get underway this evening, kicking off a weekend of music and dancing.
Organizer Phil Denault explained that they have a mix of performers including locals like Michaela Cahill and René Bertrand, as well as those from New Brunswick and beyond. They’re anticipating more than 300 campers in attendance this year from all over Ontario and Quebec, and he said one of the reasons they put the event together is to showcase what the Pontiac has to offer.
Denault said that the event wouldn’t be possible without their small army of volunteers to help turn the rink into an auditorium, and keep things running smoothly throughout.
