Fort-Coulonge arena New Year’s party brings in more than $4,000

A new years party at the Fort-Coulonge arena attracted more than 150 attendees and raised $4,313 for upgrades to the community facility.

Committee member Heidi Newberry explained that they would be using the funds to pay for new tables and chairs they had purchased for hosting events. She said that she hopes the event can become a tradition going forward.

Newberry thanked all her fellow volunteers as well as the musical guests André Boisvert and Francine Aubrey of Backtrak.
