Former Mayor Hector Soucie criticizes the municipality of Fort-Coulonge and Caisse Desjardins

During the municipal council meeting in Fort-Coulonge last week, the former mayor Hector Soucie asked for more clarifications concerning the file of the potential relocation of the Caisse Desjardins des Rivières de Pontiac and the efforts made by the municipal council.

Hector Soucie insisted that, in his opinion, when voting on the resolution allowing the possibility of studying the relocation of the Caisse in fall, the voting rules were not respected. He maintains that the identifications of the members of the Caisse weren’t taken during the vote in October.

When asked on Friday, the mayor of the municipality of Fort-Coulonge Gaston Allard essentially reiterated that the file is underway and that he was confident that the Caisse Desjardins would also analyze the options in his municipality.

The Caisse Desjardins mentioned in the fall that it had followed all the rules in this matter.
