Flyover of a military helicopter at the Beachburg Fair this July 9th

A CH-147F Chinook helicopter from 1 Wing, Royal Canadian Air Force, will conduct a flyover of the Beachburg Fairgrounds in Beachburg on July 9th, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m. This visit is part of the event’s 170th anniversary celebrations.

The aircraft will fly at a minimum altitude of 500 feet, in accordance with safety regulations. Residents may notice a higher than usual noise level due to the flight operations.

According to the Canadian Armed Forces, the flights are carefully planned and closely monitored, and remain subject to weather conditions. The Royal Canadian Air Force emphasizes the importance of community support and is proud to participate in this year’s Beachburg Fair, providing the public with an opportunity to observe its personnel and aircraft in action.
