Flood 2019: Public meeting for residents of the Upper Pontiac on June 17th

Fifteen residents attended the municipality of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes public meeting yesterday to speak about the challenges they have had to face during the floods.

The municipality of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes will hold an information session to discuss the impact of rising water levels and future strategies on Monday, June 17th at 7 pm at the Saint-Joseph Center, 6 St. Joseph. The municipality confirmed yesterday that several stakeholders have been invited, including Hydro-Québec and Ontario Power Generation (OPG). It should also be noted that the municipality of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes support the municipality of Mansfield regarding a request for a public inquiry into the 2019 floods.
