Final reminder to renew your Canadian Dental Care Plan coverage

People enrolled in the Canadian Dental Care Plan have until June 1st to renew their membership in order to maintain their coverage for the 2026–2027 year.

The current coverage will end on June 30th, 2026. The renewal process allows the federal government to verify whether participants still meet the eligibility criteria, particularly regarding family income and access to private insurance.

Eligible individuals who renew their file before June 1 will keep their coverage until June 30th, 2027. After that date, a new application will be required, which could lead to a temporary interruption in coverage.

Dental care received during this interruption period will not be reimbursed retroactively.

Even those who enrolled recently must renew their membership, except for individuals who joined the program after April 14th.
