The municipality of Fort-Coulonge issued a notice to the evacuated residents on Wednesday. According to the Facebook post, there are two steps remaining before residents may return home:

1) The restoration of the sewer system in that area;
2) A visit by the fire department to ensure the safety of your home

The restoration of the sewer system is anticipated in the near future, to accelerate the process of allowing evacuees to return to their homes, the municipality haves proceeded with visits to the homes evacuated.

Yesterday, the municipality confirmed that all the housing units on Desrochers Street will be visited by the fire department and a representative of Waskahegen Corporation.
