ESSC reminds you of the rules to follow for homeschooling
Following the government’s announcement, the École secondaire Sieur-de-Coulonge (ESSC) reminded parents and students of certain information about it. As announced by the Government of Quebec, online courses continue until Thursday, January 14 for high school students, January 15 being a pedagogical day.
The direction of ESSC underlines in a communication sent to the parent that the days of confinement are days of remote class and not days off. The work plans for the week of January 11 to 14 will be posted on the ESSC website and will be emailed to parents and students on Sunday January 10, so parents are requested to visit the website regularly. ESSC insists that students must be present during online lessons and must do the work requested by teachers. Therefore, if a student has to be absent, the absence must be justified as is usually the case when the child is not present at school. ESSC also mentioned that respect and kindness are also mandatory by video as is usually the case in class.
ESSC management mentions that for students who do not have Internet access, follow-ups will be carried out to ensure that all the material can be accessed. ESSC will welcome students back to school on Monday January 18th.
