ESSC asks for parents’ cooperation
Today the the students of the Petits-Ponts schools resume classes. Several measures have been put in place to ensure the return to class of its students and staff.
For parents who have decided to keep the children at home, communications and educational materials will continue to be provided by the child’s school. Parents with questions can contact the school directly. According to the press release from the Hauts Bois de l’Outaouais school board, 25% for the Petits-Ponts schools will be back today.
For Sieur-de-Coulonge high school in Fort-Coulonge, a communication was sent to the parents reminding that the ESSC team has never stopped working with students and that we ask for the help of everyone from here to June 23. All staff members contacted the students, initially to hear from them and then to invite them to do school work. Several teachers have prepared activities, lessons and videos to enhance the activities offered by the CSHBO and the Ministry of Education.
The school is asking parents to:
1- Check the results of the last report card in French, math, science and history / geography.
Passing grades in these subjects will help determine classes for next year;
2- If your child is passing in all subjects, it will be important to make sure that they do the work requested by their teachers until the end of the school year;
3- If your child has failed subjects, they will be contacted by their teacher and together they will determine how to achieve success; The work must be done and the student must participate in online meetings. We will need your help in these follow-ups.
The Sieur-de-Coulonge high school indicates that it does not ask parents to play the role of teacher, but requests their support. We remind you that it will also be important to check the various emails in the coming days.
