Equipiste Project: a foreseen impact on cyclo-tourism in the Pontiac
The launch of the Équipiste project carried out by five students from École secondaire Sieur-de-Coulonge, could have a veritable impact on cyclo-tourism in the Pontiac.
The Tourism Marketing Officer at the MRC, Chantal Lair spoke to CHIP 101.9 about how the installation of the bicycle repair stations could impact tourism in the region.
CHIP 101.9 also spoke to the Civil Engineer of the MRC Pontiac, Kim Lesage who talked about the MRC Pontiac’s future implication in the Project.
It may be important to remember that this initiative saw the establishment of three bicycle repair stations along the Cycloparc PPJ, which were developed by Vanessa Legault, Kayla Legault, Clara Martin, Malyka Massy Tellier and Alexus Frost.
Note, they were accompanied and guided by members of La Defriche, Lab Finance and the MRC Pontiac. Interviews of each of the organizations involved are available at chipfm.com.
