Environment Canada issues winter storm warning
Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning for the Pontiac region, as a significant amount of snow is expected late Wednesday evening into Thursday morning.
“Total snowfall accumulations of 25 to 40 centimetres are expected beginning late this evening through Thursday evening,” the statement reads. “Moderate winds will accompany the snow and generate local blowing snow. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.”
