Drug bust on l’Isle-aux-Allumettes, one arrested
One man is facing a slew of charges following a drug raid on a home in the Upper Pontiac last week.
Last Wednesday (November 23), Sûreté du Québec officers from the MRC Pontiac detachment carried out a raid on a residence on Hwy. 148 in l’Isle-aux-Allumettes, where they seized more than 300 Oxycontin pills, methamphetamine tablets, two prohibited weapons and more than 600 contraband cigarettes. A 48-year-old man was arrested and released with a date at the Campbell’s Bay courthouse, where he could face charges for drug trafficking, weapons and obstruction, as well as charges under the tobacco tax act.
