Friends of the Chats Falls have put together a tour to discover the history of the horse-drawn trail created in 1847 that made it possible to bypass the Chutes des Chats. Participants will have the chance to snowshoe and look at what remains of the footbridges, otherwise inaccessible in summer. From Friends of the Chats Falls Maude-Emmanuelle Lambert says that the trail was originally created to connect Montreal to the great lakes:

The tour will take place Sunday, February 18, 2018, at 1:00 PM in the Quyon area of the Municipality of Pontiac. The number of spaces is limited. Please reserve your spot at bbaser@rogers.com
