The Off-Road Vehicle Volunteer Recognition Award aims to recognize the work of volunteers who have distinguished themselves by their commitment to their community and through their actions which, carried out within a club or federation, were local or regional in scope.
Note that, according to the federations of snowmobilers and all-terrain vehicle (ATV) enthusiasts, some 8,000 volunteers maintain and monitor the trail networks, which represents a commitment of approximately 2 million hours per person per year. The network has more than 33,000 kilometers for snowmobiling and more than 25,000 kilometers for ATVs. The economic benefits associated with snowmobiling and ATVing are estimated at over $3 billion annually.
