Death of 18-Year-Old Gatineau Man Following Motorcycle Accident on Highway 148

A tragic incident occurred at around 11:15 p.m. on Monday, August 11. Emergency services in the Municipality of Pontiac were called to the area near 1854 Highway 148 following a traffic accident. The crash, which involved a motorcycle, sadly claimed the life of an 18-year-old man from Gatineau. At the time of the crash, he was traveling eastbound on Highway 148.

“The causes and circumstances of the accident are still under investigation by the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais police service. Highway 148 was closed to traffic,” said the MRC des Collines Public Safety Department.

The investigation is ongoing.
