Dave Hérault : candidate seeking to make a difference on Fort-Coulonge council

6 February 2023 à 1:06 pm

The citizens of the Municipality of Fort-Coulonge are called upon to exercise their voting rights in the upcoming by-election for the position of council seat 1. CHIP 101.9 spoke with Dave Hérault, one of the two candidates in view of this election. He mentioned that he has long been interested in several issues affecting municipal politics and that he felt it was the right time to get into active politics.

“Well, I’ve been following municipal politics for a while now, here in Fort-Coulonge. At the last election, I had thought about it, but it was not the right time,” Hérault said. “There, now, my oldest, he’s finishing hockey, I’m going to have a lot more time for myself and I think it’s time to dedicate myself and try to make some changes. I think I would be a productive board member. I am young, I am involved in the arena, I am involved in the community with the Knights of Columbus. So, I think it’s the right time to do that.”

The other candidate for the seat is Freeda Bechamp Graveline. The advance poll will take place on February 19 from noon to 8 p.m. and voting day is the following Sunday, February 26 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
