Councillor Réjean Meilleur CMQ File: Pending a decision

The Commission Municipal du Québec (CMQ) has not, as of yet, rendered a decision on the complaint filed against l’Île-du-Grand-Calumet Councillor Réjean Meilleur.

Remember that Réjean Meilleur is facing a breach of the code of ethics and deontology for three altercations in 2018 and another in the spring.

Of the four charges, it is noted that Meilleur allegedly obtained information in the performance of his duties that he would have transmitted to the public concerning an investigation by the Unité permanente anti-corruption (UPAC) on l’Île-du-Grand-Calumet. According to the CMQ website, the final decision should be announced soon. At least three court summonses have been held so far for Réjean Meilleur before the Commission Municipal du Québec. The most recent hearing took place on December 2nd.
