Cottagers: instructions for vacationers

Cottagers: instructions for vacationers

13 May 2020 à 12:00 am

The National Director of Public Health, Dr. Horacio Arruda, has instructions for vacationers who wish to go to their cottage to prepare for the summer.

Many secondary residences are often located in areas less affected by the pandemic. Dr. Arruda reiterated the importance of applying the measures requested to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

In addition, the National Director of Public Health does not object to regions asking outside visitors to self-isolate for 14 days while traveling. He argues that no one has an interest in exposing other citizens to transmission.

Dr. Arruda recalls that these are first of all essential reasons which must lead people to circulate between regions and that those who go there for other reasons will have to bring provisions according to the length of their stay.

The MRC Pontiac thanks the respect of vacationers for the health of citizens
In a message to citizens, the Warden of the MRC Pontiac, Jane Toller, mentionned and thanked the owners of cottages who took the necessary measures to limit their contacts with the residents, by shopping before moving or by leaving their property only in case of need.

Note that the precautions also apply to boating, that is to say that there must not be more than two people from the same household on board a boat and all other safety measures must be observed to minimize the risk of having to call the emergency services.
