Control points in the MRC Des Collines-de-l’Outaouais

7 April 2020 à 12:00 am

As of April 1st, the Sûreté du Québec and Public security services have been deployed throughout the Outaouais to limit access to the region and non-essential travel in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

The Public Security Service of the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais has indicated the strategic areas where the roadside checkpoints are located on a random basis:
– Highway 148 (Pontiac)
– Highway 105 (La Pêche)
– Highway 309 (Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette)
– Highway 315 (The Guardian Angel)
– Highway 307 (Val-des-Monts)

For the MRC Pontiac, which is managed by the Sûreté de Québec, the locations of the roadside checkpoints have not been released. Motorists, on the other hand, have observed checkpoints, in particular on the Allumettes bridge (between L’Isle-aux-Allumettes and Pembroke, Ontario), on the bridge between Portage-du-Fort and the county of Renfrew and on the border between Bristol and Quyon, on highway 148.

Other checkpoints could be added depending on the evolution of the situation. Remember that people with symptoms, who have traveled or been in close contact with a person with symptoms are prohibited from travelling in any form.

If you have any questions, citizens are asked to be vigilant and to be sure to communicate with the police department of their area.
