Pontiac residents are invited to respond to a consultation on forestry activities in the Outaouais, as part of the 2018-2023 integrated operational forest management plan (PAFIO), which focuses on new potential areas of intervention, roads and on other infrastructures to be built or improved on the territory. Caroline Bujold, the Communications Advisor for the Regional Direction of the Southwest Sector of the ministère de la Forêt, de la Faune et des parcs du Québec, gave more details.

The consultation will be available until February 7th. Residents who want to participate can express their concerns online at https://mffp.gouv.qc.ca/forets/consultation-amenagement.jsp, or on site at the Unité de gestion de la Coulonge, located at 163, Chemin de la Chute in Mansfield-et-Pontefract. More information on the procedures will be available at chipfm.com.

This consultation particularly concerns the territories of Alleyn-et-Cawood, Chichester, Lac Nilgaut (TNO), Mansfield-et-Pontefract, Rapides-des-Joachims, Sheenboro and Waltham.
