Confirmed cases of COVID-19 – May 7th, 2020
The Outaouais region has so far reported 322 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the crisis. The Pontiac local service network still has 5 cases or less, all located in the municipality of Pontiac. No case has been identified in the MRC Pontiac.
The number of hospitalizations at the COVID-19 designated center in Gatineau is 10, including one person in intensive care. Of the 322 people infected with the virus, 177 have recovered and 145 cases identified are still active.
In the past few days, the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) announced a fifth death related to COVID-19 in the region, a resident of CHSLD Lionel-Émond.
At the provincial level, there are 35,238 confirmed cases, 2,631 deaths, and 8,284 people with initial illness who are now cured.
