Over the weekend, the Pontiac Comets achieved what was thought to be impossible, defeating the reigning champions of the Quebec senior AA hockey league, the Montagnards at home in Mont-Laurier 6-4. The coach of the Comets, Jean-François Lavergne:
The Comets Goaltender and team owner, Danick Boisvert, earned the first star of the game; stopping 48 of the 52 shots on net. The victory was also due to the notable three points picked up by the Comets Benoit Nadon and Justin Charbonneau, each getting one goal and two assists.
The Comets next game will be played at home in Fort-Coulonge on Saturday, they will face the Maniwaki Forestiers at 8pm.
