CISSSO announces sample collection to come to Quyon CLSC

Regional health authority CISSSO has announced that they will soon be offering sample collection services at the Quyon CLSC. Earlier this month, a petition had been launched demanding that the collection of blood and other samples be offered at the clinic.

The service is scheduled to commence on May 6, and will be offered to the public by appointment only every other Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Patients are invited to make an appointment starting May 2 by phone at (819) 458-2848.

CISSSO media relations agent Camille Brochu-Lafrance wrote in an email that the “service is permanent, but the solution is temporary”, explaining that they would be evaluating the best way to offer the service, in regards to staffing and frequency.

“We would like to evaluate this project closely to ensure that the needs of the population and the services offered by the CLSC remain in line,” she wrote. “Starting in the fall, we will be able to look at the number of visitors and plan a permanent solution by posting signs if the need arises.”
