Chutes Coulonge’s Festival of Lights returns with a new twist

Just as in years previous, the Chutes Coulonge Park in Mansfield-et-Pontefract will be hosting their Festival of Lights during the weekends leading up to the new year, but with a bit of a twist this season. Visitors will be able to walk the scenic route next to the waterfalls every Friday and Saturday evening in the month of December and take part in all the other family friendly activities on site.

Park Director Katrina Soroka explained that this year there would be a bit of a story for attendees to follow as they made their way past the falls, that of a lumberjack named Jacques who is returning from the forest to be with his family for Christmas.

Soroka said that in addition to the walk they would have a bonfire and food on site, and opening night (Friday December 6) will feature music by Adam Jones. Santa will be making appearances on December 13 and 21.
