Centraide Outaouais and CHIP FM join forces for a 50/50 raffle benefiting the Pontiac
A new community-focused initiative is taking root in the Pontiac. Centraide Outaouais has partnered with CHIP FM, the local community radio station, to offer a 50/50 raffle, with all profits being fully donated to community organizations in the MRC.
Through this partnership, funds raised from ticket sales—whether directly at the station or via a simple QR code scan—will remain within the community. Nine organizations in the Pontiac will benefit from this initiative, including Bouffe Pontiac, the Centre Serge Bélair, the Comptoir St-Pierre de Fort-Coulonge, Le Jardin éducatif du Pontiac, the Maison de la famille du Pontiac, the Maisons de jeunes du Pontiac, and Le Patro de Fort-Coulonge/Mansfield. These organizations provide essential support to individuals and families facing vulnerability in the region.
For Cédric Tessier, Executive Director of Centraide Outaouais, “This partnership perfectly embodies what we want to strengthen: local solutions, led by and for communities. Thanks to CHIP FM’s engagement, we can expand our presence in the Pontiac and provide tangible support to the organizations making a difference every day.”
David Gillespie, Chair of the Board of CHIP FM, adds: “As a community radio station, it is natural for us to get involved in an initiative that directly gives back to our community. The 50/50 raffle is a simple and accessible way for our population to contribute to causes they care about.”
The 50/50 raffle offers a dual benefit: participants have the chance to win a cash prize while directly supporting services that improve the daily lives of Pontiac residents. This collaboration highlights the importance of local partnerships in strengthening community solidarity and resilience.
