Casting call – Short film “Les Braconniers”

A new short film titled Les Braconniers is currently in the casting stage. The production is seeking actors for this non-union project with a symbolic honorarium.

Filming is scheduled to take place from July 20th to 26th, 2026, in the Pontiac Regional County Municipality (MRC du Pontiac). Accommodation, meals, and transportation will be provided for selected participants.

The story follows Camille, who must sell the family cottage following her father’s death. The situation becomes more complicated when her older brother, Léo, reappears after ten years of absence. Together, they must confront past memories and try to rebuild broken family bonds, while their mother struggles to offer forgiveness.

Several roles are being cast, including Camille (20 years old), who appears in six days of shooting; Young Léo (17 years old) and the Father (40 years old), each appearing in two days of filming; as well as Young Camille (10 years old) for one day of shooting.
