Car show outgrows Swisha, to be held in Deep River
After six years in Swisha, the seventh annual car show put on by the Rapides-des-Joachims Downtown Life Committee has had to move off the island, a victim of its own success. This year’s edition will be held at 87 Brockhouse Way in Deep River Ont. on Saturday July 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Organizer Paul-André Paquette explained that they had around 160 attendees last year which maxed out their capacity. This year they’re planning for more than 200 vehicles to turn out.
Paquette said that the money they raise through things like the 50/50 draw go back towards events that the committee puts on throughout the year. He said that in addition to the cars, there would be plenty of family-friendly activities.
The full interview with Paquette (4m15) is available here.
