Car fabricated by PHS welding students wins at demolition derby
On Monday (September 5), the Shawville Fair came to a close with the much-anticipated demolition derby. This year, one of the entrants was a car fabricated by the welding class at Pontiac High School and driven by Jeremy Williams, an experienced derby participant and the owner of Jer’s Auto in Ladysmith. The vehicle ended up winning their division of the competition and Williams said that he had already donated a vehicle for next year’s fair.
He said that he had some pretty solid competition and was somewhat surprised that he managed to come out on top.
The full interview with Williams (3m55) is available here.
