Campbell’s Bay official Inauguration of Splash Pad

Friday will mark the Grand Opening of the Splash pad in Campbell’s Bay, notably ending phase 2 of the municipality’s Downtown Parks Improvement Plan. In a brief conversation with the Mayor of Campbell’s Bay Maurice Beauregard, he highlighted the project while inviting the population to the inauguration.

The revitalization initiative was created in 2016 following the installation of a 60-foot mural on Front street, which had been completed thanks to the collaboration of a local committee of volunteers. This concept was created to develop activities and infrastructure intended for the well-being of families and young people in the municipality. It was created following a public consultation on June 29 2016, and presented to the Community during the 2016 Summer Festival.

Phase 1 saw the completion of the Mural Park in 2017 while Phase 3 will be intended for the improvement of the playground and ballpark in 2021.

The official opening of the Splash Pad in Campbell’s Bay will be on Friday August 14 at 4 p.m.
