Campbell’s Bay clinic now offering dental hygienist services

A new business opened this week in Campbell’s Bay that’ll leave a smile on many faces.

Vanessa Sloan is a dental hygienist and the owner of Blanche Pontiac, a dental hygiene clinic located at 136 rue Front in the heart of the Bay. She explained that while she isn’t a dentist, she’s qualified to offer a host of oral health services, from cleaning and polishing to fluoride and mouth guards.

Sloan, who was born and raised in Vinton, said that she’s been working in the field for 13 years before she decided to strike out on her own around a year ago. The closure of the dentist office in Shawville back in 2022 left the Pontiac with only one dentist office in Campbell’s Bay and another in Luskville, and Sloan said she aims to fill a gap by providing complimentary services.
