Campbell’s Bay celebrates reading with a book fair and literary journey

13 October 2026 à 2:47 pm

Reading and culture will be in the spotlight at Campbell’s Bay on October 22nd and 23rd, as the municipality invites residents to participate in two book events.

The Campbell’s Bay Book Fair will be held at the Recreation Centre, located at 2 Second Street. Visitors will be able to discover a selection of books in French and English, for young and old alike.

The show will be open on Thursday, October 22nd from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by Friday, October 23rd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Another event is scheduled for Friday, October 23rd at 11:00 a.m. with the unveiling of “Les fenêtres qui racontent”, a new literary journey that will give a cultural touch to the windows on Front Street. The project will showcase local photographs accompanied by excerpts from books, in order to discover literature in an original way at the heart of the community.

This initiative is made possible thanks to the financial support of the MRC de Pontiac and the Government of Quebec, through the Cultural Development Agreement and the Cultivating Reading call for projects.
