Campbell’s Bay adds horseshoes and shuffleboard to Maurice Beauregard Park

On Wednesday evening, the Municipality of Campbell’s Bay unveiled the newest additions to Maurice Beauregard Park, two sets of horseshoe pits and a shuffleboard court.

Mayor Raymond Pilon explained that they had ordered the material for these additions the previous year and had installed them earlier this summer. The new additions to the community park sit along the outfield fence of the baseball field, near the splash pad. Pilon said that the games are part of their ongoing series of upgrades to the park, adding that improvements to the ball diamond’s backstop was likely next on the agenda.

He said that the equipment would be left out for anyone to use, but they were looking at coming up with a solution for storage while leaving it accessible as possible.
