Call for development projects to improve living environments
This week, the MRC Pontiac announced they’re now accepting applications from local organisations to implement sustainable development projects aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens. According to the MRC Pontiac’s Director of Economic Development, Cyndy Phillips, the $424,000 grant will be divided into two phases to support a variety of projects.
Among the funded projects, whether municipal organizations (Phase 1) or Band councils of aboriginal communities, cooperatives and non-profits (Phase 2), Phillips stated that a scoring grid has been added to the application forms in order to better meet the needs of the community. With that the division of funds will depend on the potential impact of the project.
Project proposals are being accepted until September 23, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. Those interested in submitting a proposal must meet with a Commissioner for Economic Development at the MRC Pontiac no later than September 22nd, 2020.
Upon being accepted for the program, the selected organizations will have 12 months to complete to the project. For more information regarding this fund and to view the application form please visit the MRC Pontiac’s website.
