Bristol man arrested for fraud at Shawville businesses
The Sûreté du Québec announced earlier today (March 18) that they had arrested a local man on March 14 in connection with fraud committed at two businesses in Shawville in December.
The statement notes that the man, 54, of Bristol, was photographed in a business in Shawville on December 12 using a debit card that someone had lost. Police issued photos of the suspect and he was found thanks information from the public. He was arrested and released, while his dossier was submitted to the director of criminal and penal prosecutions, who will decide on whether to lay charges.
