Bristol communicates with its taxpayers regarding building permits and municipal election procedures

9 March 2021 à 12:00 am

The Municipality of Bristol has reminded its taxpayers that fines can be issued if residents do not have a permit before starting any demolition or construction project on their property. Like many municipalities across the Pontiac, it is mandatory to contact the building inspector for information and to know about the procedures.

In this letter sent to its taxpayers, the Municipality of Bristol also addressed non-residents who own a building who wish to exercise their right to vote in view of the municipal elections which are scheduled for November 7th. For all non-residents, a proxy for the registration form of the person authorized to vote among the co-owners or an application for registration for the single owners has been included with their tax bill. Taxpayers in this situation are encouraged to complete the form and return it to the municipality by mail or email. The Municipality of Bristol says more information about the election will be posted on the Municipality’s website throughout the year.
