Brian Nolan is representing the Conservative Party of Canada in the riding of Pontiac-Kitigan Zibi. A former public servant living in Chelsea, Nolan also has many years experience in the private sector as an IT consultant as well as a brief stint co-owning a retail business in downtown Ottawa.
He spoke about some of the issues affecting housing supply, and said that his party would offer incentives to people going into the trades.
He said that the party plans to shrink the federal public service through attrition rather than layoffs, pointing out that the Liberals are also planning reductions to the public service.
