Bouffe Pontiac is inviting the community to participate in a new series of free community cooking classes called “From Pantry to Plate,” designed to help participants turn basic ingredients into tasty, nutritious, and budget-friendly meals.

These hands-on workshops are particularly aimed at individuals who want to learn how to make the most of everyday foods, including items from food banks, to prepare simple and accessible meals.

At the heart of this initiative, Bouffe Pontiac offers easy large-batch cooking techniques that save time, reduce costs, and help cut food waste.

Participants will learn to:

  • Cook simple and affordable recipes

  • Maximize the use of ingredients already available in their pantry

  • Prepare multiple portions in a single session

  • Discover practical tips they can apply immediately at home

  • Adopt proper food storage methods

The activity is open to everyone! Classes are beginner-friendly and take place in a welcoming, inclusive environment that encourages sharing and collective learning.
