After hosting their annual “guignolée” on Thursday, local food bank Bouffe Pontiac has announced that they’ve brought in $11,302, which is more this year than year’s previous. Local participants also donated 227 kg of food items on top of the cash.

On Monday (December 9) they also accepted a cheque for $5,000 from local Promutual president Denis Larivière, who explained that his organization donates to food banks throughout the Outaouais at this time of year.

Bouffe’s coordinator Jacinthe Paquette explained that they were on track to distribute 280 Christmas hampers in the coming days, which is also an increase from years’ previous. She thanked the public for their support during this busy time of year.

Donations are still being accepted and e-transfers can be sent to bouffepontiac@yahoo.fr or through their Paypal.
