Blocked Sewages in Campbell’s Bay and l’Isle-aux-Allumettes

The municipalities of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes and Campbell’s Bay have recently reported, via social media, problems concerning their sewage waste systems that have been blocked by household waste, which cause additional costs for the municipalities and the tax payers, according to the Mayor of the Municipality of Campbell’s bay, Maurice Beauregard.

The municipal sewage system in Campbell’s Bay is often obstructed by wet wipes, sanitary napkins, diapers, different fabrics, oils and greases.

As for the municipality of l’Isle-aux-Allumettes, who issued a press release in February, the problem is affecting their sewage filtration system. The municipality is still working out where the clog is coming from before proceeding with repairs. The Mayor of l’Isle-aux-Allumettes, Winston Sunstrum;

Along the same subject, CHIP 101,9 had a chance to talk with the mayor of the municipality of Bryson, Alain Gagnon, who said that the municipality have not had a major problem since the modernization of the sewage system.
