Ban on All Fires Across Pontiac

The dry autumn weather has prompted a public safety measure in the region. Following recent meetings between fire chiefs and the Fire Safety Committee (CSI), a regional ban on all types of fires has been in effect across the entire Pontiac Regional County Municipality (MRC) since yesterday, October 1, 2025, at 8:00 a.m., in accordance with SOPFEU guidelines.

The MRC of Pontiac requests the public’s cooperation to help ensure the safety of the territory.
