Back to school for the WQSB
Back to school for the WQSB
With the recent announcements from the Quebec government on the return to school plan for this year, CHIP 101.9 spoke to the Director General of the Western Quebec School Board (WQSB), Mike Dubeau, on how he envisions the return to school for the students of his school board.
Mr. Dubeau touched on the clarifications of the bubble concept in schools, as well as the mandatory wearing of masks within the common areas within each school.
Mike Dubeau also addressed some issues going forward for the WQSB, notably exemptions for student and staff who might be more at risk in the context of the pandemic.
Finally, Mr. Dubeau sympathizes with the parents who might be hesitant on sending their children back to school at the end of the month, but assures them that the WQSB is taking all the mesures into account when the doors will be reopened to classrooms and the school board will educate the students on protecting each other during this pandemic.
