Back to school: be careful on the roads!

As many students return to school throughout the province in the coming days, the Sûreté du Québec reminds all on the road to be particularly vigilant around school zones. Sergeant Marc Tessier told CHIP about how to keep children safe.

Patrollers will pay particular attention to speed limits as well as mandatory stops when school bus’ red lights are in operation. Drivers must respect school bus red light signals and prepare to stop.

Sergeant Marc Tessier says that Penalties are severe for drivers who violate road regulations in school zones.
