The Quebec Ministère des Transports (Ministry of Transportation, MTQ) informed the Municipality of Pontiac that the roadwork on Eardley-Masham road started on Monday morning. The MTQ is expecting to work continuously for the next six weeks, reopening the road by the end of autumn 2019.
The fire ban issued for the Upper Pontiac in recent days was lifted Tuesday night. However, the local fire department is reminding residents that contained campfires are allowed under the condition of it being 1 square meter in size and limited to one meter in height.

The Municipality of Pontiac issued a notice to its residents that the Chemin des Pères-Dominicains will be closed to traffic until September 12th, between de la Rivière road and highway 148. Note that as of Thursday, the road will also be closed from Chemin de la Rivière towards Papineau Road.
