Archaeological survey to uncover the location of the Fort Coulonge

In a follow up interview with Greg Piasetzki, who is in the process of organizing an Archaeological Survey to uncover the location of the Hudson’s Bay fur trading post in the Pontiac also known as the Fort Coulonge, confirmed that, COVID-19 permitting, the survey would be conducted over the week of September 28.

During the conversation, Piasetzki mentioned that he will be holding a public consultation on Wednesday September 30th, to inform the public about the process and the history of the site.

Note that Greg Piasetzki is a Toronto man, who came to the Pontiac to uncover his family ties to the Hudson’s Bay Company and the Fort on which it resided.
