Appointment scheduling now extended to 80 and over in the Outaouais

2 March 2021 à 12:00 am

The Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Outaouais confirmed yesterday (March 1) that the population aged 80 and over, those born in 1941 and before, are invited to make an appointment now to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

The CISSS de l’Outaouais reiterates that the website Québec.ca/vaccinCOVID, is the easiest and fastest way to make an appointment and to follow the progress of the campaign by region.

For those who do not have access to the Internet or who have difficulty using it, you can call 1 877 644-4545 for support. Caregivers are encouraged to offer support to seniors when making online appointments and when getting vaccinated.

The CISSS de l’Outaouais reminded that people who are not part of the priority group being vaccinated in their region should avoid calling and requesting the website or going to the site to be vaccinated. Each group will be informed of the appointment at the appropriate time.

Note that Quebec will receive, over the next few months, a sufficient number of doses to offer the vaccine free of charge to anyone who wishes to obtain it.

The CISSS de l’Outaouais specified that the vaccination takes place in stages, but it will always be possible for a person to make an appointment to be vaccinated even if the vaccination sequence in his region has been extended to the following age groups.
