Another “locals night” at the Pont Blanc Beach axe-throwing lanes
The axe-throwing lanes at the Pont Blanc Beach will once again be hosting a “locals only” night this Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. As coordinator Guillaume Lavoie-Harvey explained, the goal is to both familiarize residents of the region with the sport and generate interest for a local league in the future.
“Yes, yes, we have the centre here, which respects all the standards of what is called the WATL which is the World Axe Throwing League,” he said (translated). “So, when people come to participate here, they really play official games that would be comparable to league tournaments. So we would like that too, to develop a local league which would one day, if we have enough talent in the area, receive people from the World Axe Throwing League ourselves, here in Mansfield.”
The cost for this evening is $10, compared to the regular price of $15. The site is located at 257 rue Principale in Mansfield-et-Pontefract.
