André Fortin says he is positive for the relaunch of the sawmill in Davidson
While in the studios of CHIP 101.9, the provincial deputy of Pontiac, André Fortin, discussed about the relaunch of the Davidson sawmill. According to André Fortin, several positive points and advances in this file make him say that the realization of the project is possible more than ever. André Fortin stressed that the inventory carried out by the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of the Davidson plant shows the government’s interest.
“If the government had no interest, it would not have taken the step of taking stock. Which makes me say that things are progressing well ” says André Fortin. As he had done last June, André Fortin reaffirmed that the Davidson plant would be a solution for the Outaouais forest industry to the problems caused by the Fortress plant in Thurso.
The sawmill could be relaunched thanks to the implementation of a cogeneration project within what is now called Energy Davidson, led by promoter Bruno St-Cyr. Note also that the Coulonge River Solidarity Cooperative was set up to support the project.
