André Fortin launches his campaign in Aylmer

The incumbent Member of the National Assembly for Pontiac, Leader of the Official Opposition, and Liberal candidate André Fortin officially launched his election campaign Sunday in Aylmer, in the presence of party members and several Liberal candidates from the region.

At the event, André Fortin and the Liberal candidate for Hull, Sacha Cannon, unveiled a new regional commitment: to work towards the construction of an overpass at the intersection of Vanier and des Allumettières Boulevards to improve traffic flow in the area.

“The people of Aylmer in Pontiac deserve services that meet their expectations and reflect their contributions,” said Mr. Fortin, promising proposals tailored to the realities of the Outaouais region.

This commitment complements the Liberal Party of Quebec’s promise to introduce a bill aimed at achieving and maintaining pay parity with Ontario for healthcare workers in the Outaouais public health and social services network.

Other initiatives for Pontiac will be announced in the coming days. The Liberal campaign will focus on health care, the cost of living, the protection of individual rights, and rural economic development, with the goal of making the Outaouais a priority for any future Liberal government.
